  Totally a horrific experience!
  I had an emergency room visit the day prior.
  I was suffering from unbearable pain.
  Which I am already very familiar with.
  Since I suffer from CHRONIC KIDNEY STONES.
  For which I had been seeing Dr. Mark Miller.
  For many many years. He had preformed surgery on me to remove large stones on several occasions.
  On my emergency room visit i was given a cat scan or xrays Its been awhile so not sure which.
  And they found i had a stone with infection.
  They sent me home with anti-biotic and instructions to follow up with my urologist
  Dr. Miller.
  When filling the prescription for anti-biotic
  The pharmacy informed me the particular anti biotic prescribed by the ER, was not covered by my insurance.
  I called the ER and was told to call Dr. Miller
  To represcribe.
  Talking with Dr. Miller I was informed he had no appointments the next day or so.
  And he suggested I see his partner Dr Ring.
  And that I should inform Dr. Ring I had been sent by Dr. Miller, ONLY TO GIVE ME A PRESCRIPTION for an anti biotic covered by my ins company.
  After STANDING in the waiting room for 45min in extreme discomfort and pain.
  I was called in. Placed in an exam room by two female staff members, i believe they were
  Techs.
  When Dr. Ring entered right away I felt he
  had some type of issue with me.
  His bedside manner was to say the least
  Nasty.
  I told of my ER visit, and my phone conversation with Dr. Miller the prior day.
  And Dr. Miller only asked that he order a new
  Anti biotic.
  Right away he began telling me that he reviewed the ER findings and disagreed.
  According to him I had no stone, no infection.
  And to his belief I was there to seek pain medications.
  Which took me by surprise since I had NEVER
  mentioned ANYTHING about.
  So I then once again repeated that Dr. Miller Sent me for anti biotic's. And I didnt need pain meds.
  He ignored what I had been saying.
  And looked me straight in my face and
  Told me... ( I can not help you)
  Stood up and walked out of the room.
  I was in total shock!
  As where the two female tech's still in the room, they said nothing but both of there mouths hung open with disbelief at the treatment I had just received by Dr. Ring.
  I was totally numb in disbelief and embarrassment, he had made me feel
  as if I was a pain pill addict there only to
  get high on pain meds.
  I left and returned home upset. I called and spoke with Dr. Miller. I was Very Upset.
  Dr. Miller tried to minimize the severity
  Of Dr. Rings treatment towards me.
  I have since not returned to the practice again.
  All I can conclude from Dr. Rings treatment.
  Was the fact that he judged me by my status of being HIV positive, and considers people
  Infected by the virus are all low life, drug addicts.
  I was treated as such. And his bigotry and ignorance was totally off point.
  Yes I do have HIV. But Iam educated, lead
  a decent, respectable CLEAN life. With no drug usage.
  In fact I arrived at his office in my mercedes.
  And have been partnered in a 23 yr long term relationship with my partner.
  Which for Dr. Rings information who is a Doctor.
  He should not cast judgement by a patients HIV Status.
  I would not recommend him to anyone.
